Verse 1	The first verse has an inspiration that is aimed mostly toward people who have had little experiences with self esteem.	“ I am a river down in the Valley “	“ Oh, I am a vision and I can see clearly oh ”	The intensity of words and metaphors and other figurative language that really has some deep meaning of inspiration and aspiration,  for anyone to analyse and see how the writer had put some powerful messages in their song.
Chorus	The build ups in the these parts of the chorus.	“I’m the star up in the sky”	“I’m that mountain peak up high”	Why I picked these word was because it has a meaningful background. And what else that i found was that he is trying to inspire us to do better in life, And this song has made me feel like  I can make it.
Verse 2	The main idea in this verse is that there is much strength and humble culture within everyone .	“ I am a giant, I am an eagle, I am a lion”	“ Down in the jungle, I am a march’in band, I am the people , I am a help’in hand , I am a hero”	The morals in this verse is that we all have humble nature like the bald eagle, we all have strength like an african lion, and of course we all have the angry booming voice of an aggressive giant when we have our bad mood swings.
Verse 3	The meaningful things in this verse that have caught me eye.	“In the ring of life I’ll reign love And the world will notice a King”	“ When all is darkest, I’ll shine a light”	What this is trying to say that no matter what skin color you are or if you have done bad things in the past. This is now and leave your past behind and be ready for whats to come forward.
Verse 4	The messages in this verse appear to be more in depth and meaningful.	“ I saw the light at the end at the tunnel, believe in the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow ”	“ And faith was right there to pull me through, yeah Used to be locked doors ”	Messages, Morals are the valued sentences that encourage us to go for what we want and to keep moving forward and not let bad fates pull you back when at the end of tunnel is good fortune and life awaits.

High Tides

As the sand oozing between my toes.

As a slight breeze goes past my face.

As the trail of pip’s along the way.

Sinking under the golden sand.

0h my lord it’s taking forever!

The sound of the wave near by.

Made me cry of joy of life.

I stand there another day just to say goodbye.

My poem.

“Love is something you can not take away!”.

Love comes in all shapes and sizes, And when i'm with you it doesn’t matter.

I’m lost with words that i can not explain.

Because when i’m with you it still remains.

But when you're gone it fades away.

but comes back when you stay again.

Until that day.

i will wait.

Love is powerful.

More powerful than the land up above.

You try and you try to break your heart but it’s out there for one’s who.

Will always love and cares.

Until your day is done so i love you with all my heart.

Year 8 CAMP! 2013.

T.P.S. Year 8 camp!.

What i'm looking forward to.. is the walk to Piha beach and the sand sculpturing and many other fun activities that we are going to be attending. But most of all is how fun it's going to be on my first camp trip with all the year eights for the first time and getting to know them better and stepping out of my comfort zone and just remembering all the good times that are going to happen tomorrow.

My feelings. what i'm feeling right now is all the excitement that we are going to feel do things out door going for a bush walk and doing other things too that are really out of people comfort-zone.

Step 1# We got our fabric and the we got our needell and stringe.

Step 2# Then we started to sow and we had to go over and under until it was done.

Step 3# We had to pull it together and then we pushed it down with the needell.

Step 4# Finally we sowed on the button and when we were done.

I liked making the flower and my buddie did too.

And it was cool as making it because if you ripped you button off and didn't mean to and then you can just sow it on by yourself.

My Day Today

Well at first I was a little bit scared about my test and a lot of things were going through my head but I just went on and done my test. and it wasn't so bad after all and it was kind of boring that we didn't have squash in the morning but we had it after morning tea. And then we had squash and then guitar lessons and then went back to class and done our movie and then we played soccer and won and then we met this guy named Karl Heinz Schradt and then went home!.

My day today

Today was a very good day but the bad thing was I wasn't blogging much, So this week i really want to make my teacher proud so today I'm going to blog as much as I can, And miss Aireen I will never disappoint you ever again. And the good thing was that our school got FREE EQUIPMENT from the Marous rugby team. And it was the best day seeing everyone HAPPY and LOVED.

The House That Appeared

The cold breeze made me tingle a little  as my face turned pale and my hands turned cold as ice and my lips turned purple as my hair was blowing in the wind as I looked for somewhere to sleep for the night. As the rain started pouring down and I was soaking wet and my feet are starting to get numb. As the wind was getting harder by the minute as I couldn't bear to stand any more.

Suddenly a house appeared and I was nearly about to die in the cold and as I went in and the door slammed. It gave me a fright the I went around looking for somewhere to sleep as the house became warmer. I found a room where there was a bed it looked like a girls room but little did I know the danger was just around the corner.

As I was started to go sleep I heard a girls voice saying something but I couldn't hear her properly .Then I heard footsteps in the hallway. As I turned around it was the strangest thing I have ever seen I couldn't really see his face but I knew he wasn't someone that will let you out easily.

but on he back he had I kind of knife that had blood on it and he turned around and I catch a glimpse of his face as he had a long cut on it and he had blood on his face too. he went around looking in the rooms so I ran out. When he went into a room down the hallway so I ran down stairs but he heard so he came raining down so I hide under the sofa and he looked around but he didn't find me.

then he put the key on the coffee table and able to grab it so I did. As he was still looking around for me I laid there waiting for him to go then about three minutes later he went back upstairs looking in each again so I had time to go outside and run. By the time I was far away from that house I caught up with some friends and that was the end of that.

Thursday 6 May 2013, was well... the best day of our life!!! I’m not being dramatic or anything but a group of students got the chance to see that Mr.William James Adams,otherwise known as Will.I.Am . He has donated $100,000 to the Manaiakalani Education Trust. We were told at first that it was an anonymous donater but when we arrived we got the news that it was Will.I.Am himself who had donated the money.It was something worth experiencing.

When the cheque was presented we were thankful and honored for his helpful donation towards the Manaiakalani Education Trust. His inspirational words motivated us all as students to keep moving forward in life.

The words that he preached today was "My mission is to help transform disadvantaged youths, and I hope my donation to the Manaiakalani Trust will help these young people gain the skills they need for tomorrow's job market."

We acknowledged that fact the he shared a small portion of his life with us about growing up with  only his mum to raise him and about the fact that music and arts literally saved his life. He told us that his dream was to look after his mother and siblings.

When he told us what his dream was we felt like we could do something with our life. Meeting or hearing him wasn’t just hearing or seeing him as a celebrity but we got to hear and see him as a person who motivated himself to succeed in life.

We came back to school feeling glad we got to be part of something worth remembering, we got to be part of something we could tell our friends with pride and experience.

• The poem I read this week is about.... Friendship and just having all these great friends in my life.

• By analysing the poem I have read this week I think the author wrote this poem because.. she just wants to say thank you to her best friend for always being there for in the past and now.
• The author was informing the audience about... true friendship and just being yourself and don’t try and be someone else stay true to you.
• The author was entertaining the audience by... (emotions/language features)... and what the author really hooked me into what he was saying about friendship.
• The author is trying to persuade the audience to think/believe/reflect... that friends come and go but best friends stay with you.

I’m a Female Warrior brave and all,

I am Samoan and Maori and that is all

I’m proud to be from the BEAUTIFUL Island of Samoa.

I’m proud to call myself  a MAORI because it’s part of me.

and also my tribes are  Ngapuhi, Ngati awa, Ngati tuwharetoa.

As our Ancestors walk upon the island they call New Zealand

As the green trees stand out from far away

As the sand oozing between their toes

As they're walking

As they could hear the water and the rocks crash together.

The birds singing and as the calm wind blew as they were the first ones to walk New Zealand.

And as time went past they learnt about the animals that lived there from the animals that are still here today from the animals that went extinct.

If it wasn’t for the leadership that the Samoan people and the Maori people have I wouldn’t have the courage that I have today and the strength they have to fight for what’s right and the things we need to stand up for.  

Maybe they're not or maybe they are it’s not really up to us who likes us and who doesn’t and there is alway people that come and go but there are people who stay there with you.

Kia Ora my name is Jazmine (my mum and dad gave me that name because they both had friends named Jazmine) and I’m 11 turning 12 on April the 27 also I am tall like a tree with kind of tan skin.  I have brown curly hair that blows in the wind and light brown eyes that shine in the light  and I go to Tamaki Primary School and I like to hang out with my friends April,Taylor . I like to be outside and I love to hear birds singing in the tree’s and how cat’s and dog’s fight a lot.

I’m also Sweet because I
love to give friends and family big hugs, Nice because if you're feeling down I’m always there to pick you back up,caring because that’s what’s all friends and family do,pretty because I dress myself nicely and I make sure my hari’s okay,I hate being mean like making someone feel bad or just .


Talofa Lava I am  Samoan and Maori, why I’m Samoan is because my dad’s mum she is Samoan and she is really nice and I love her so much. my mum’s mum is full Maori and I love her too and I am proud to be Samoan and Maori and I don’t care if I don’t look like a samoan and it doesn't matter what skin colour it’s what culture you are.  

My mum and dads names are Colleen is 34 and Leon is 34 turning 35 and I have four sisters and one brother Jayde-evanna 14 turning 15,Paige is 9 turning 10,Paris is 8 turning 9,Coralee is 5 turning 6,Leon-leebron is 4 turning 5.

They are all unique because my Mum can sing,My Dad can rap & draws mean as car’s,my sister Jayde-Evanna can sing,dance and draw’s cool people,Paige & Paris can sing and dance and they love to cook in the kitchen and last of all Leon & coralee loves Dora,Diego,Ben 10,Barbie.


I live in Auckland Glen Inn’s I live near Pt England and Ruapotaka school. I live in a lovely street ,My family has nice neighbors across the road and up and I have the most coolest friends is Teamear and Flora

I like to sing like a singer,dance like the jabbawockeez ,I like to draw like an artist,swimming like a fish and I love to play sport such as basketball, netball, baseball,rugby and touch.

I love school and work,I love begin around my friends and just having fun with work,learning new things at school and just going hard and just push my self the extra mile in reading,writing,maths. My fares are that I’m going to fail in reading,writing and maths and I don’t go up my levels and my mum and dad wouldn’t be proud and my sister jayde-evanna will call me a loser and i don’t want that because this term I am going to do it.
